Band
Datenstau gründeten sich im Januar 2004. Damals waren alle Mitglieder um die 13 Jahre alt. Sie spielten viele Konzerte in ihrer Region um Rheinland Pfalz und das Saarland. Später tourten sie in ganz Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz und teilten sich die Bühnen mit namenhaften Bands wie Fahnenflucht, Chefdenker oder den österreichischen 3 Feet Smaller. In dieser Zeit hatte die Band bereits zwei Alben aufgenommen und veröffentlicht. Im Jahr 2009 trat dann Paul (Gitarrist und Leadsänger der Band SPLASH) dazu und machte das Line-Up endgültig komplett. Seitdem wurde ihre Musik immer melodischer und das Songwriting wurde reifer und anspruchsvoller. In ihren Songs verarbeiten sie die Themen, welche für sie am wichtigsten sind wie z.B Liebe und Hass. Genauso aber auch Freundschaft, dass alltägliche Leben und die Freude daran, einfach mal die Sau rauszulassen. Die Band tourte weiter in Deutschland und nahm vor kurzem eine Ep mit 2 brandneuen Songs
auf. In Reviews oft als Skatepunkband bezeichnet, definiert die Band ihre Musik selbst als Melodischen Punkrock. Also besucht ihre Konzerte und überzeugt euch selbst von ihrer Liveshow und den Tonträgern.

Formed in January 2004 (When they were about 13 years old) DATENSTAU played many concerts in their local area ( Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland). Later they began to tour all around Germany, Austria and Switzerland and suported well known Punkbands like FAHNENFLUCHT, CHEFDENKER and Austrias 3 Feet Smaller. By that time the Band had two Records released. In 2009 Paul ( Leadsinger and guitarist of SPLASH) joined the band and made it complete finally. As a result their music became more melodic and their songwriting became more sophisticated. Datenstau write songs mostly in English but in German as well. Their topics are impressions from society and life as love and hate but also the happines of daily life. Meanwhile they recorded a 4 Track EP called the "GIFT EP" released in 2010 as a Gift to their fans available as a free download and as a CD on their concerts. The band continued Touring in Germany and recorded a 2 Track EP with two brand new songs in 2011.
